"Welcome To Our Updates"

1st Quarter 2016 UPDATES

God has spoken a word to me, and it is that “2016 is the year of REWARD” Ok, Lord, reward for what?

Ask Jesus into your heart, and you get SALVATION.

Pay your tithes and give offerings, and you get ALL YOUR NEEDS MET.

I cannot stop meditating on Isaiah 60: 1-3, especially in The Message translation: Get out of bed, Jerusalem! Wake up!

Put your face in the sunlight! God’s bright glory has risen for you. The whole earth is wrapped in darkness, all people sunk in deep darkness, But God rises on you, His sunrise glory breaks over you. Nations will come to your light, kings to your sunburst brightness.”

As the deep darkness creeps over the earth in increasingly evil and morally bankrupt ways, seeking to deceive and lure us and our loved ones into its suffocating abyss, God provides the alternative. PUT YOUR FACE IN THE SUNLIGHT! What does that mean? Get in His presence. Seek God first. Draw closer to Him. Stop playing church and find a light giving relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Get to know Him intimately. That is where you will receive the light to live in these days, and not only to live, but to be a light for others. In my deepest being I believe we are at the end of days and Jesus will be returning for His glorious bride soon. One of the worship songs we sing is “Let the glory of the Lord, rise among us… let the glory of the Lord rise among us… let it rise… oh, oh, oh, let it rise!” It begins with waking up… know the time and season in which we live. We have a call in this hour to let His glory rise and break over us, not just for ourselves, but so that we can be a light to the nations. The sunburst brightness of each one of us putting our faces in the SONLIGHT will be glorious! Don’t underestimate the influence of your light. If you are in a totally dark auditorium and someone turns on their smart phone, ALL eyes in that room will turn to the source of that one light. Your shining light will make a difference… guaranteed!

Once again through your faithful generosity, we have been able to supply both Mt. Zion and Mt. Peto Basic schools with enough food items to feed the children healthy lunches for the remainder of this school term.

When I brought the food stuff to the Mt. Zion school, a lot of the children ran to me and called me their friend. I will have to share with them how many friends that they have. Thank you for being their friend and demonstrating the love of Jesus.

What a joy to welcome back the enthusiastic after school students for the second term. It is a little different without

Romando. Until Kimarley gets his driver’s license (hopefully very soon) Brother Bob is the designated driver from and to the school gate. The end is in sight for most of the students as they race toward the finish line in Sing, Spell, Read,

Write’s 36 step raceway to independent reading. This week the children moved their cars to step 27… only 9 more to go in order to receive a trophy. Vencott, 1st grade, and Glendon, 2nd grade, have joined the class a little later, and are like the little engines that could… I think I can, I think I can… chugging up and over the mountain to success. In addition, four of the children; Breannie, Orain, Roshawn, and Tashane have begun Saturday morning literacy test prep classes. All four will be sitting the exam in June and we are working hard to have them ready for success! They are learning to read food labels, bus schedules, medicine labels, all kinds of tables and graphs, advertising posters, etc. and also learning how to fill out every form imaginable. Miss Mary loves the challenge of seeking and hearing creative ideas by the Holy Spirit for channeling so much excess energy into a love for Jesus and learning.

“So far my experience at HACC has been an eye opener for me. It has opened my mind to know that other cultures exist out there. My first week was awesome; each professor has their own technique of letting the class feel comfortable sharing about themselves in class. My favorite class at HACC so far is college success. In this class we learn not to become a victim or having a victim mindset, but better yet, to become a creator and have a creator mindset. Each lesson I learn from this class is something I put into practice. This is my third week at HACC and I’m loving it.”
