"Welcome To Our Updates"

3rd Quarter 2015 UPDATES

Mary, Kimarley & I returned from 2 days shy of a month trip to the States on June 17th. Kimarley immediately went into strawberry, grape and Dunkin Donuts withdrawal. Mary and I immediately went into WiFi & 4G phone service and running water withdrawal. We had some great family time together. We were also able to visit with our families and spend some blessed time with Brice. In fact, Kimarley spent some nights with Brice in his apartment. I understand that they were throwing small fire crackers at each other.

We also ministered in 4 churches; Burton, Ohio area, in Newark, DE, in Cambridge, MD & in North Tonawanda, NY. This was the first time we have been able to travel on a ministry trip together in a very long time, so it was very special. After driving from Lancaster, PA to Ohio, Kimarley said the trip to Kingston is a breeze. We were received wonderfully in all of these churches. Mary did all the preaching and it was full of much revelation.

Last month we had the great joy of introducing our 17 year old adopted son Kimarley to The United States. One of the top items on his “to-do wish list” was to visit a junk yard. We arranged for him to visit one of the largest salvage yards in Pennsylvania, and his reaction was priceless… pure delight, like a small child cut loose in ToysRUs. We asked him if he wanted us to put up a tent and come back for him in three days. You see, Kimarley has a wonderful gift of creativity and vision combined with mechanical ability. His dream is to build a customized, one- of- a- kind vehicle using only what he finds in the junk yard. I began to reflect on how God is much like that.

Ephesians 2:10 says we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. God looks over all the discarded pieces of our broken lives and selects all the

“junky” parts in our lives. With absolute genius, He renovates and restores them through Christ. All of those parts come together to fashion the new creation described in II Cor. 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.

Much like I envision Kimarley proudly giving me a ride in his

“new” car one day, I can see Father God proudly encouraging us to walk in our “new” lives and to fulfill the good works he purposed for us from the beginning. Give Him your “junk” and let Him recreate you into a “masterpiece.”

Romando is proudly wearing the title of the first New Beginnings Trainee to earn a fully accredited high school diploma through Alpha Omega Academy. He has worked very hard to achieve this goal, and is now re-focused on the new season in his life coming up. His goal is to attend Harrisburg Area Community College in Lancaster, Pa. for the winter term beginning in January. He will share an apartment with Brice, our son, while majoring in Criminal Justice. The only thing that stands in his way is the school’s requirement that the first year’s total expenses are proven at the time of application. The school requires a demonstration of $24,000 in the bank or in affidavits of support in order to issue the document that would allow for a U.S. student visa. He has $18,400.00 in his educational fund. He only needs $5,600 more to allow his application!!! Will you please be a part of

God’s miracle of provision and contribute to his fund?

Together we can make what may seem impossible become a reality.

Wow! Yesterday 11 local teenagers, who have volunteered to help in the summer school program, attended a training meeting. They have hearts to serve and are enthusiastic about their areas of assignment; from classroom aides, to librarian, to kitchen helpers, to PE Equipment and Grounds charges, to running a tuck [snack] shop. Thank you, Lord, for most of them are summer school graduates giving back.

This year we also want to seed into their futures. Heather Edwards, a Jamaican by birth and hails from Christ Alive in New York City, will be coming to teach the third week. She also teaches a course called the “7 Habits of Effective Teens”. While the adult staff all pitch in, we will release the volunteers to their own class. Pray with us for the purposes of God to be fulfilled in their lives, and that Heather’s anointed teaching ministers to these precious teens.
